Simrad consolidates B&G distribution

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – North American distribution and service for B&G marine electronics will be centralized out of the company’s Lynnwood, Wash. headquarters, the company said in a recent release.

Under the new growth plan, distribution and service functions will be relocated from B&G’s U.S. headquarters in Clearwater, Fla. B&G USA director Rob Law will continue to operate a B&G sales office in Clearwater.

“We acquired B&G to expand our presence in the superyacht and racing arena, and also take advantage of the excellent synergies between B&G and Simrad technologies and products,” said president Brian Staton. “The full horsepower of the Simrad, Inc. organization will now be behind B&G products, from accounting to warehousing to customer service.

Simrad acquired U.K.-based B&G Ltd., an instruments and autopilot systems manufacturer in October 2003.
