MRAA attracts 13 sponsors for convention

OAK PARK, Ill. – The Marine Retailers Association of America has attracted 13 boating industry players as sponsors of the 2004 MRAA Convention to be held Nov. 9-11 in Las Vegas, according to a recent MRAA press release.

GE Commercial Distribution Finance, Mercury Marine and the Brunswick Boat Group made early commitments to sponsor evening receptions Nov. 9 -10, while Volvo Penta will sponsor a luncheon as will Genmar and E*Trade Financial, MRAA said.

Glastron, Regulator Marine, Cobalt Boats, Chaparral and Bombardier Capital have also chosen to sponsor various events. ADP Lightspeed and Cruisers Yachts will both sponsor breakfasts.

For the second year in a row, Bombardier Recreational Products will supply convention nametag lanyards and notebooks, according to MRAA.

“Our industry partners thru their generous contributions allow us to produce a complete and comprehensive convention for our members at an extremely low cost,” said MRAA Chairman, John Sima. “A broad range of first-class events becomes possible with this superb backing of our associate members.”

“We’re indebted to these members for their commitment to involve experts in our convention,” said Phil Keeter, MRAA president. “They have an intense desire to upgrade the expertise of all marine dealers and were willing to back this effort financially.”
