Info-Link Bellwether Report reveals market upswing
MIAMI – Info-Link’s August Bellwether Report – an examination of retail registration data in select major-boating states – shows an uptick in almost every segment of the boating market, the company said in a release today.
“This is consistent with top line economic data we have seen,” said Jesse Wells, Info-Link’s director of sales and marketing. “BusinessWeek recently reported that more and more data from the third quarter shows that consumer demand, job gains, and overall economic growth are all rebounding from their second quarter dips.
“Also, inflation is cooling which strengthens household buying power. Most predictions of economic growth show a stronger second half (year over year comparisons), however, it will be interesting to see how the ‘hurricane effect’ plays into the fourth quarter sales numbers.”
