Yanmar begins new marketing campaign

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – Marine engine manufacturer Yanmar Marine has begun a worldwide marketing initiative that focuses on enhanced communications with boaters, and was recently introduced to all the company’s distributors during a meeting in Amsterdam, the company said in a recent statement.

“We have always enjoyed excellent relations with boatbuilders, architects, dealers, fleet operators and the marine trade,” said Thomas Calhoun, president of Yanmar Marine USA. “Now we are focusing more attention on the boating public as well.”

An image depicting a pearl within an opening oyster shell will appear on corporate and product advertising, sales literature, showroom aids and boat-show materials as part of “The Powerful Gem” campaign. The new marketing program will help boaters identify more closely with the Yanmar brand and provide information on the company, as well as individual products, according to the engine manufacturer. It is being implemented throughout Yanmar Marine’s global distribution network.
