ValvTect donates National Marina Day trophies

NORTHBROOK, Ill. – ValvTect Marine Fuels will provide each marina participating in the Marina Operators Association of America’s third annual National Marina Day – to be held Aug. 14 – with a trophy to award to the “Longest Cruiser,” the company said yesterday.

Created by ValvTect, an NMD co-sponsor, the “Longest Cruiser Trophy” will be given to the marina member who has either cruised farthest over the past year or who has cruised farthest to attend National Marina Day.

“Events like National Marina Day help reinforce the relationship between marinas, boaters and local communities” said Jerry Nessenson, ValvTect’s president. “Providing the ‘Longest Cruiser Trophy’ is a great way for us to help marina operators promote recreational boating and the important role marinas play in their community.”
