LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Together with Salt Water Sportsman magazine, Simrad will be a title sponsor of the Miami Boat Show’s Big Game Room, which includes exhibits and presentations from celebrity anglers, tournament organizers, boat manufacturers, blue-water tackle manufacturers, conservation groups, artists and representatives of resorts and fishing destinations around the world, the company reported in a recent statement.
The Big Game Room will play host to a variety of activities ranging from the Marlin Bar – a place to relax, hook up with buddies and swap fish stories – to seminars, fashion shows, live entertainment and a virtual billfish tournament.
“The Big Game Room should be the hotspot during the Miami Boat Show, and we’re happy to be part of the excitement,” said John Caballero, vice president, Marketing and Product Development for Simrad, Inc. “Recreational fishing has always been an important market for our products, and meeting the needs of tomorrow’s saltwater angler continues to be a focus of new product innovation for us,” Caballero added.
The 2004 Miami International Boat Show will see the United States debut of Simrad product innovations for the saltwater fishing market, including the SimNet family of integrated, NMEA-2000 compliant navigation, communication and fish location instruments, according to the company.
