Stuart Boat Show attendance up in first two days

STUART, Fla. – Attendance for the first two days of the Stuart Boat Show, produced by Allsports Production, was up 30 percent, despite cool weather, according to an article today in The Stuart News.

Promoter Rick Allen also told the newspaper that sales were “as ‘brisk’ as ever” during the first two days of the show, which featured about 500 boats and 180 vendors.

Allen compared the Stuart event to other area boat shows, pointing out that attendees visit a boat show for different reasons.

“We’ve got buyers in this market,” he told the newspaper. “Some places we’ve had these shows, like Fort Lauderdale, people go just cause it’s an event, something to do.”

The show ran January 9-11 at the Northside Marina in Stuart, Fla.
