Sea Force IX plans for growth
BRADENTON, Fla. – Palmetto, Fla.-based boat builder Sea Force IX has launched its first fishing cruiser, The Bradenton Herald reported in an article on December 20.
The 81.5-foot fishing cruiser, which has been sold at a price of $5.4 million, has been the main project for the company this year, the newspaper reported. The company was launched in June 2002.
The boat builder, which currently sports about 40 employees, expects to launch three fishing yachts next year and four or five in 2005, according to the article.
The newspaper reported that the company’s three lines of fishing yachts range from 76.5 feet to 86.5 feet in length and are designed to sail up to 1,700 miles before refueling.
