Lockwood Marine undergoes ownership change

SHELLMAN BLUFF, Ga. – The stock ownership in dealership and boat yard Lockwood Marine has expanded to include Jerry and Michelle Ham, the company reported in a statement today.

Jerry has served as general manager at Lockwood for the past two years, and Michelle has acted as chief financial officer. Each has purchased 15 percent of Lockwood’s stock, leaving 70 percent ownership with John L. Underwood Co., Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia. The Underwood Co. also has three wholly owned subsidiaries in mechanical construction related fields; Lockwood Products, Underwood Air Systems and Underwood HVAC.

No changes in direction for any of the companies are being contemplated, and Lockwood expects to continue its very high CSI record for all product lines as a means of continuing growth on the Georgia Coast, according to the company.

Lockwood Marine is a full service dealership midway up the Georgia Coast, between Brunswick and Savannah, flanked by I-95 and the Inter Coastal Waterway. Boat lines include Grady White, Boston Whaler, Scout and Carolina Skiff. Honda, Yamaha and Mercury outboard engines complete its packages.
