Power & Motoryacht magazine receives awards
NEW YORK CITY – Power & Motoryacht magazine, published by Primedia Enthusiast Group, has been recognized with two awards including the 2003 Clarion Award for Magazine Feature Article and the Ozzie Design Award from Folio: magazine, the company reported yesterday.
Executive Editor Diane M. Byrne received the 2003 Clarion Award for Magazine Feature Article, External Publication (circulation category 100,000 to 500,000) for her story “Baby Onboard,” which appeared in the September 2002 issue of Power & Motoryacht.
The Clarion Awards is an international competition which was created by the Association for Women in Communications in 1973. Only one Clarion Award is presented annually in each category, and entries are evaluated for content, style, achievement of objective, and originality, reported the company.
“I’m thrilled to receive such recognition from some of the top members of the media,” said Byrne.
The magazine also took home an Ozzie Design Award from Folio:, a magazine targeted to publishing executives, designers, and editors. Power & Motoryacht’s April cover was nominated for Best Cover in the 100,000 to 250,000 circulation division and received an Honorable Mention.
Art Director Aimee Colon and Designer Doriot Kim were pleased to accept the award.
“We’re very proud of both Diane and Aimee. These awards are more proof the dedication to excellence is a strong ethic in every member of our staff,” said Richard Thiel, editor-in-chief.
