NMRA to hold IBEX workshop on sales topics

GURNEE, Ill — The National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) will hold a free workshop at the International Boatbuilder Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) to address the benefits of working with independent sales reps.

The workshop, Harness the Power of Independent Reps—Make Your Sales Effective and Efficient, is on Tuesday, October 18 at 1 p.m. at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.

The workshop will give an overview of how reps work with OEMs, distributors and dealers, along with tips on how to choose a rep and case studies of companies successfully utilizing reps. There will also be time for questions from the audience.

“Using an NMRA sales rep is a cost-effective way to get a product to market and less costly than using in-house salesmen. A rep gets compensated when product moves and the incentive is high to be productive,” said Rick Silverlake, NMRA president. “The NMRA is in its 50th year and it is suitable that this workshop helps manufacturers maximize their sales effectiveness in this market.”

The workshop is free to all IBEX attendees, but registration is required as space is limited.
