Ehlert Publishing makes Grow Boating donation

CHICAGO -Ehlert Publishing Group of Maple Grove, Minn., has made a cash contribution to the Grow Boating Initiative on behalf of its marine titles - Boating Industry, Trailer Boats, Bass & Walleye Boats and Watercraft World magazines - the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported in a release yesterday.

The company is also helping to extend the Grow Boating campaign's reach by donating advertising space in three of its consumer magazines, ATV Sport, Snow Goer and Rider, which have a combined circulation of nearly 300,000.

“As the publisher of the leading marine magazines for both the trade and consumer markets, Ehlert Publishing Group is pleased to help 'Grow Boating' in any way possible,” said Tammy Galvin, associate publisher of Ehlert's Trade Group. “In addition to the cash donation, we are uniquely positioned to help reach hundreds of thousands of consumers who already have a passion, not to mention the income level, for motorized recreational vehicles through Grow Boating advertisements in some of our sister magazines.”

The contribution is part of the $2 million Start Up Fund that is being used to pay for the creative development and production of the marketing campaign that will launch in 2005.

“As we get closer to the launch of the marketing campaign it is exciting to see more industry segments financially supporting the Grow Boating program,” said NMMA president Thom Dammrich. “The impact of Grow Boating will benefit the entire marine industry, and it is important that we all play an active role in contributing to its growth and future success.”
