MIASF donates $35,000 to Grow Boating Initiative

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Marine Industries Association of South Florida presented National Marine Manufacturers Association Chairman George Bellwoar with a $35,000 check for the Grow Boating campaign at an MIASF board meeting Dec. 14, the Association said in a release yesterday.

“It is a pleasure, on behalf of the MIASF and the Marine Industries Association of Florida, to be able to present the “Grow Boating” campaign with a contribution of $35,000 towards an effort that will help introduce millions of people to recreational boating,” said MIASF President Jay Reynolds. “Many people currently enjoy boating, and based on the plans outlined for the campaign, it is clear that the “Grow Boating” initiative can only help to positively expand the industry.”

The MIASF is a not-for-profit marine trade organization created in 1961 to promote and protect the sound growth of the marine industry in South Florida for the benefit and education of its members, the community and the environment. It has 800 members in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties and is the owner of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
