Morse Industries reports record sales month

KENT, Wash. – Boat building component supplier Morse Industries, Inc. set a single-month sales record for June, when its sales were 17-percent higher than its previous record month, this April, and 25-percent higher than June of 2003, the company said in a press release Friday.

Morse Industries’ revenues for the first six months of 2004 were 16-percent higher than during the same time period in 2003, although as a privately held company, Morse Industries does not disclose actual dollar figures.

Much of the company’s sales growth was attributed to creating custom components for OEM manufacturers, according to Steve Klein, the company’s director of Marine Business Development.

“As a full-service supplier, we have the capability to create components to our customer’s specifications in addition to supplying stock items,” Klein said. “We are able to stock these items in one of our regionally-based warehouses for delivery on demand.”
