Charleston City Marina receives marina design award

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston City Marina has received the PIANC 2009 Jack Nichol Marina Design Award for outstanding marina design, according to a recent statement from Applied Technology & Management.

“The jury considered that Charleston City Marina best represented the technical, functional, aesthetic, and environmental award criteria,” it stated in the award letter.

Applied Technology & Management (ATM) assisted in the 10-year redevelopment of the Charleston City Marina, which it said resulted in enhanced boater facilities (dockside and upland) and a revenue stream growth from $500,000 per year to over $12 million per year in less than 12 years.
