MarineMax announced Tuesday that they have delivered the first Azimut Magellano 76 at the MarineMax Pompano Yacht Center. The Magellano 76 was conceived as a modern trawler that combines seaworthiness and long-range capabilities with luxurious living spaces.
“My client and the new owner of the Magellano 76 already appreciated the Azimut penchant for quality and innovation, having owned a new Azimut 55S prior to purchasing the Magellano,” explained Mike Bader, senior sales executive at MarineMax Pompano Yacht Center. “After purchasing the 55S, he quickly realized that as much as he loved his Azimut, he wanted more and shopped all the brands for a larger yacht. After extensive research, my client came back to the MarineMax Pompano Yacht Center due to the incredible support and service that MarineMax has provided him and he chose the Azimut Magellano 76 for its size, range and distinctive style.”
The Magellano features a grand salon with contiguous views from the cockpit entry to the centerline helm. Below the main deck, side windows line the hull in all cabins. The full-beam, mid-ship owner’s stateroom features a centerline double berth and an en-suite shower and head. Forward leads to the VIP stateroom, which also has a centerline double berth and en-suite shower and head. Each of the two guest staterooms have twin beds with separate shower and head compartments. Accommodations for the crew are in the double cabin under the cockpit deck.
Powered by twin 1,000 horsepower MAN V8 diesels with 2,000 gallons of fuel capacity, the hull is designed to cruise at 11 to 17 knots with a top speed of 22 knots.
“The new owners will soon be experiencing all the comfort and luxury that the Magellano 76 provides as they embark on a summer cruise to New York this weekend,” added Bader. “The beautiful and unique Italian style along with being the first and only Magellano 76 cruising in the U.S., will make it stand out along the way.”
