Beneteau accelerates powerboat development in South America
RIO DE JANEIRO – Beneteau America announced ahead of the Sao Paulo Boat Show its intention to speed up the development of Beneteau’s powerboat distribution network in South America under the responsibility of Bruno Gouézigoux, Sales Manager for Beneteau in South America.
As it pertains to Brazil, existing Beneteau sailing yachts distributor Grupo Sailing will be representing Beneteau’s Powerboats in the state of Rio de Janeiro, while Mr. Gouézigoux is tasked with rapidly expanding the powerboat dealer network in the rest of Brazil, and South America at large.
In addition, Beneteau unveiled earlier this year a new organization for their strategy in the Americas, with a single North/South axis. Both Central and South America are under the responsibility of Mr. Gouézigoux, reporting to Laurent Fabre, President of Beneteau America, headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland (USA). Fabre commented on this approach: “The recent acquisition of RecBoat Holdings by Groupe Beneteau opens a new world of opportunities, with iconic American brands like Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft and Scarab. Especially since we own and operate a local production site – molding and assembly – located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in Angra dos Reis”.
Beneteau will be exhibiting three new boats at the Sao Paulo boat show, September 25-30: the all-new Oceanis 38, and Brazil-built express cruisers Gran Turismo 35 and 40.
