TAMPA, Fla. – The 2011 Tampa Boat Show saw an increase in their total attendance this year by 10 percent, with just over 16,300 total visitors this year.
The National Marine Manufacturers Association attributes the increase in attendance to an increase in the number of in-water boats, which was up from about 40 in 2010 to almost 70 in 2011, and the return of big boats ranging from 44-97 feet.
Other new offerings this year that increased traffic were a VIP reception, the Harris Brothers’ appearance from Deadliest Catch, and a Discover Boating Resource Center hands-on training program with several free on-the-water courses.
