VEC Technology partners on wind turbines
NEWBURY PARK, Calif. — Sauer Energy Inc., a developer of wind turbine systems, has selected Irwin Jacobs’ VEC Technology LLC to jointly manufacture its WindCharger model for the development of the propriety molds for the production of its renewable energy wind turbine blades and long term production runs.
“We are very confident with VEC Technology as our development partner,” Sauer CEO Dieter Sauer said in a release. “They have an excellent track record in the field of composites and tooling for manufacturing and optimizing our part designs for market. This type of manufacturing will enable us to have a 10 year warranty and a possible life expectancy of over 20 years. Crossing this threshold is a very exciting time for Sauer Energy.”
Both Sauer Energy and VEC Technology will be producing the end product.
Irwin Jacobs, chairman of J&D Acquisitions LLC, parent holding company of the VEC Technology company, stated: “We are very pleased that Sauer has chosen VEC as its supplier for its wind turbine blades. Over the past 10 years, our patented VEC process has successfully built over 80,000 fiberglass recreational boats sold throughout the world. We’re excited to be partnering with Sauer in becoming their renewable wind energy blade supplier. We believe VEC’s patented process for building wind energy blades is the most precise and sophisticated technology in the world for building wind blades.”
