IN BRIEF: KEP Marine, Aleutian Yachts

SeaWide Distribution has been named the exclusive U.S. wholesale distributor for marine equipment manufacturer KEP Marine. KEP products include sunlight readable pilot house displays, glass bridge displays, monitor management interfaces, marine computers, multimedia systems, vessel monitoring software, XM weather & navigation software and underwater LED lights for boats & docks. Keith Wansley, vice president, SeaWide Distribution noted that KEP provides the company with the ability to customize solutions for various applications including specific OEM installations. The agreement took effect Sept. 1. KEP Marine is the nautical division of Kessler-Ellis Products, a designer and manufacturer of industrial displays, electronic flow instrumentation, PLC peripherals, counters/timers, rate meters, industrial computers and HMI software.

Aleutian Yachts, builders of steel expedition yachts from 82 to 122 feet, is now building yachts under its wholly owned subsidiary, Citadel Yachts. “When we realized that another builder was using the Aleutian name for one of its models, we decided to avoid confusion and re-brand our vessels under the Citadel trademark. This allows us to guarantee our customers the quality and service that falls under our specific brand,” said Greg Ward, CEO of Aleutian Yachts.
