Boat Trader, BoatTEST.com form video partnership

NORFOLK, Va. — Boat Trader has partnered with BoatTEST.com to allow marine dealers in the Boat Trader network to display video reviews specific to their new and used inventory on www.BoatTrader.com, the companies announced this week. As part of the partnership, Boat Trader will provide all content for boat listings on www.BoatTEST.com.

Dealers on www.BoatTrader.com can sign up for a complimentary 30-day trial throughout January. Dealers can incorporate the videos on their Boat Trader pages alongside the photo gallery already in place. The videos include footage of the boat’s interior and action shots as well as an overview of the boat.

“Video marketing is not the sales solution of tomorrow — it’s the sales solution of today. Our beta test overwhelmingly showed that these third party videos drive more visitors to dealer Web pages than ads without video,” said David Bingham, sales development manager at Boat Trader.

Dealers participating in a beta test of the product increased visits to their dealer galleries by 35 percent, generated 17 percent more leads than non-beta dealers and saw an average 91 percent increase in overall inventory views, according to Boat Trader.

All video reviews on BoatTrader.com are available at: www.boattrader.com/research/video-gallery?zmc=video-reviews.

Boat Trader, a database of boats for sale online, is a division of marketing services company Dominion Enterprises. www.BoatTEST.com provides video tests and reviews of new boats and engines as well as two marine newsletters.
