Parker Boats to open second location
ORLANDO, Fla. – Parker Boats will open a second, 22,000-square foot marine dealership and service center in Daytona Beach, Fla., in August, it reported in a recent statement.
The new location represents a major expansion for the family-owned, Orlando-based company, it said.
“We’ve been in business for eighty years,” stated Brad Parker, a third-generation family member who is manager of the Daytona dealership. “Our customers have become part of our family.”
Parker Boats’ new dealership Parker Boats of Daytona, located off I-95 in Daytona Beach, just south of the Auto Mall, will help the company provide more convenient sales and service support for its clients in the eastern portion of its seven-county territory, which includes Flagler and Volusia counties, the company said. Boats up to 44 feet in length will be on display. The six-acre site also will feature a boat and motor service facility, a ship’s store and a play area for children.
“Just like our original dealership in Orlando, a visit to Parker Boats of Daytona will be a great experience for the whole family,” Parker said.
The sales team at the Daytona Beach store will conduct sea trials on the nearby IntraCoastal Waterway. The store is also convenient to Disappearing Island in Ponce Inlet, New Smyrna Beach and other boating destinations popular with Parker Boats’ clients. The Parkers and their staff, all experienced boaters who love the joy of boating, lead more than 30 boating getaways to exciting destinations in Florida, Georgia and the Bahamas each year. Parker’s father, Roy Parker, Jr., has led 30 annual Bahamas cruises and will embark on another one this month.
Parker Boats sells and services boats by Sea Ray in addition to Boston Whaler and Triton boats. The company is a Sea Ray Ambassador Dealer; it has been recognized for its dedicated customer service by engine manufacturer Mercury Marine, which gave the dealership its coveted CSI (Customer Service Index) Award this year; and it has achieved National Marine Manufacturers Association Dealer Certification. In addition, Parker Boats ranked in the top 20 in Boating Industry magazine’s Top 100 Dealers in North America for 2006 and was rated “Best of Orlando 2006” by Orlando magazine.
