Watermark Marina of Snake Creek breaks ground

ISLAMORADA, Fla. – Construction is underway at Watermark Marina of Snake Creek, bringing new dry-stack boat storage slips and wet slips to the Upper Florida Keys, Watermark Marinas said in a statement Friday. Watermark Marina of Snake Creek is on the ocean side at mile marker 85.4 and provides instant access to bay and ocean waters.

Watermark’s new dry-storage facilities were designed to withstand the highest level of environmental stresses. The new facility will offer a menu of VIP valet services to let customers create the ideal experience to fit their needs and lifestyle. The new marina will utilize a new Wiggins Marina Bull Forklift to launch and store boats measuring up to 40 feet.

“We are really excited about the progress being made with the construction of Watermark Marina of Snake Creek,” said Michael Shanley, Watermark Marinas vice president of operations. “With public access to our waters becoming increasingly more difficult to find, our new marina facility will mean good things for boaters and the community. Designed with the spirit of Islamorada in mind, the new marina will be a family boating destination offering many amenities including a fleet of offshore and backcountry charter boats.”

In addition to the boat storage amenities, Watermark Marina of Snake Creek will include a boat rental operation, adding more new boats and kayaks to its fleet. Other amenities will include a retail store consisting of sundries, bait and tackle, apparel, snacks and beverages.
