Sea Hawk Boats buys Island Hopper assets

DELEON SPRINGS, Fla. – Sea Hawk Boats has purchased the assets of DeLeon Springs, Fla.-based Island Hopper International Boat Works Inc., which is going out of business, according to an article today in the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Island Hopper President David Quimby told the newspaper that workers currently are finishing up the last couple of vessels.

Among the assets purchased by Sea Hawk are three boat molds (a 30-footer, a 48-footer and a 51-foot pontoon boat), hoists abd jack stands and the Island Hopper name, the newspaper reported. The property was purchased by a separate entity.
