MIAMI – AB Inflatables has instituted a Flagship Dealer program to recognize those committed to selling and servicing a wide selection of the manufacturer’s products, the company said in a statement yesterday.
Dealers who qualify for the company’s new flagship dealer program receive special designation on the company Web site and in-store point of purchase signage, as well as “Flagship Status” recognition with retail literature mailings. As the new program grows and develops, AB Inflatables said it will find additional ways to reward dealers.
To kick off the program, the boat builder recognized the first five dealers to meet the requirements. The first five Flagship Dealers are Maritime Solutions, Portsmouth, R.I.; Wolf’s Marine, Benton Harbor, Mich.; Sunset Inflatables Santa Ana, Calif.; Maddog Inflatables Kinston, Mass.; and Racine Riverside Marine of Racine, Wis.
“We’re very pleased to honor this first group of dealers,” said Ivor Heyer, AB Inflatables president. “They’ve proven their commitment to our products and our mutual customers, so we’re only too happy to do something extra for them. Based on the early response we’ve had, this program is only going to grow and keep getting better. We’re looking forward to welcoming more dealers across the country into this group.”
To become a Flagship Dealer, retailers must be a volume purchaser, be an outboard motor dealer and/or be signed up with Evinrude as a pre-package dealer and must stock an AB Inflatable vessel of at least 17 feet. To meet the maintenance needs of customers, Flagship Dealers must also offer service capabilities for inflatable boats and outboards.
To take this program to the next level, AB Inflatables is planning a Flagship Dealer Meeting this September in Newport, R.I. The meeting, for current and prospective Flagship Dealers, will feature a range of AB Inflatables in the water for demonstrations and sales training.
