LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Internet marketplace boats.com has seen dramatic increases in traffic to its online sites, compared to last year, the company reported in a statement today.
”Our traffic numbers are up 40 percent over May last year, while tracking historic traffic trends,” said Paul Rabe, president, CEO and co-founder of boats.com Inc. “This is a very positive sign for all in our industry involved with using the Internet and continues to confirm the very real importance of this medium for boat and equipment sales.”
Meanwhile, there was little change observed in the most popular brands for which consumers are searching on the sites. Tracker retained the top spot on the boats.com power top-20 new boat list and Sea Ray held onto first place in the pre-owned category, boats.com reported today in its manufacturer’s rankings for May.
The boats.com rankings are based on the most popular consumer searches by brands, new and pre-owned, at the Web site’s online marketplace. The boats.com top-20 list is published monthly and reflects traffic data on all manufacturers and models available on boats.com Inc.'s Net Access Program.
