2004 National Marina Day Web site up and running
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Marina Day Web site, www.moaa.com/nmd is now operational, said National Marina Day Chair Kirby Cay Scheimann, CMM, in a statement today.
The NMD site features information and news outlining the National Marina Day program, an annual nationwide celebration of America’s marinas that will this year be observed Aug.14, and is produced by the Marina Operators Association of America, Scheimann said.
The site explains how to get involved in National Marina Day and offers suggestions on how to begin planning National Marina Day 2004 celebrations.
Scheimann said the site will be an important part of MOAA’s efforts to increase participation in this third annual event.
“Thanks to the generosity of MOAA’s sponsors, National Marina Day Resource Kits, containing all the media tools a marina needs to support their chosen NMD event, will again be available at no charge to marinas across the country online at www.moaa.com/nmd in mid-April,” he explained.
In March of 2004, MOAA will officially kick-off the 2004 NMD campaign with a one-page bulletin that will be inserted into that month’s edition of “MOAA Messages” and posted on the National Marina Day Web page. It will elaborate on the 2004 NMD theme and offer suggestions on how marinas can join in the effort to educate public servants about the marina industry, the release said.
Boating Industry magazine is the 2004 National Marina Day Media Partner. National Marina 2004 is also made possible, in part, by the sponsorship of the following companies: Atlantic-Meeco Inc., Bellingham Marine, BoatU.S., EMP Industries, Inc., EZ-Dock Inc., Flagship Marinas, Formex Floats, HydroHoist International, Marinas International, Onyx-Mansfield Energy Services, Premier Materials Technology, Inc., ShoreMaster, Universal Insurance Services and ValvTect Petroleum Products.
