CHICAGO – The Discover Boating Resource Center, made possible by a grant from the U.S. Coast Guard, is offering boaters and would-be boaters the opportunity to receive hands-on training and on-the-water experience this year at the Norwalk Boat Show, Sept. 22-25.
Discover Boating is offering five courses at the Norwalk Boat Show: Close Quarters Powerboat Handling, Advanced Docking Experience, Essential Boating Safety, Introduction to Sailing and Coastal Cruising.
The Discover Boating Resource Center was at the 2011 Tampa Boat Show Sept. 9-11 and offered 93 on-water sessions throughout the show, attracting more than 400 showgoers and 232 participants, according to a news brief from the National Marine Manufacturers Association.
