Michigan’s Lakeside Motor Sports — a Boating Industry Top 100 dealer — recently unveiled its new 50,000-square-foot marine showroom and service facility, which is now complete and open for business. The new facility was constructed across the street from their currently operating powersports facility.
“This expansion represents our continued investment back into our community to make it better for everyone. Our vision of bringing our customers the best experience possible is now reality. Not only will it let us serve our existing customers better than ever before, but it will let us show a whole new generation of boating enthusiasts why buying from Lakeside is the best decision they’ll ever make.” said Lakeside Motor Sports, President and Owner, Ed Richter.
Represented brands in the new facility include pontoons from Manitou, Bennington, Crest, Starcraft, Smokercraft, Qwest, GillGetter. Also on display will be fishing boats from G3, Starcraft and Smokercraft, along with Crownline and Rinker. A selection of outboards from Mercury, Honda Marine, Yamaha, Evinrude and Suzuki Marine will complete the showroom.
The 10,000 square foot service area includes ten service bays and is staffed by highly-trained technicians, who can perform both in-house maintenance and repairs.
Lakeside currently employs 120 people. The company expects to boost the local economy with as many as 15 to 20 new jobs in the coming months as a result of expanding into the new facility.
“We keep improving our practices and expanding our product lines with Rinker boats, and expand our boat lifestyle selection with accessories from Costa, Lakegirl, Corkcicle and more,” says Neil Maneke, Marine Division Manager. “You’ll find nothing but the best in boats and power-sports, and we’re sure you’re going to love it here.”
Lakeside also operates Nelsons Speed Shop, which the company purchased in March, 2014, located at 4566 S. Greenville Road in Greenville, Mich.
