Boat builder changes name

WARREN, R,I.– Pearson Composites, LLC, formerly a division of TPI Composites, has been formed to allow the company to better focus on its primary goal of building boats, Pearson said in a press release this morning.

The company will continue to build innovative sail and power vessels for the recreation boating market under the brands of J-Boat, Alerion Express and Pearson Yachts.

“We are very excited about this change. As a stand-alone company we can better focus on bringing more new models to the industry,” said Mark Pearson, the company’s president. “Between our J-Boat, Alerion Express and True North business, we are busier than ever. This restructuring of our corporate entity will allow us the opportunity of concentrating on what we do best – building terrific boats.”
