Yamaha Marine awards four academic scholarships
KENNESAW, Ga. – Yamaha Marine recently recognized four students of Yamaha Outboard dealers and their employees by giving each a $3,000 college scholarship, the company said in a press release over the weekend.
This year’s recipients are: Katherine A. Brobeil of Tonawanda, N.Y.; David Lamberton Jalensky of Racine, Wis.; Brooke Michelle Kresta of Edna, Texas; and Jenna Marie Taylor of Onancock, Va.
“We at Yamaha care about the future of our youth,” said Phil Dyskow, president of Yamaha Marine Power Group. “The Dealership Scholarship Program allows us to assist dealers and their employees with the growing cost of higher education for their children, and it shows the students that extra effort and hard work truly does have its rewards.”
The program, now in its 20th year, helps families continue their student’s education by rewarding those who excel in academics, leadership and extracurricular activities. Applicants are screened by a committee of educators, Yamaha Marine said.
