Charles Industries named ABA Supplier Of Choice
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. – Charles Industries, Ltd. has been chosen Supplier of Choice for a second consecutive term by industry buying group, American Boatbuilders Association (ABA), the company reported in a statement today.
“The decision to renew the Supplier of Choice Contract with Charles Marine was largely due to the quality and performance of the Charles offering of battery chargers,” said Jay Patton, ABA president. “Charles has proven to be a vendor with a track record of quality products with an emphasis on extremely effective responsiveness to customer needs. We look forward to continuing to build a profitable partnership with Charles which ultimately translates into better pricing for the boat buying public.”
Established in 1992, the association is a coalition of 12 independent U.S. boat manufacturers that produce more than 15 percent of all the boats above 16 feet built in America, according to the company.
“We are very pleased with the ABA’s decision to renew our contract as exclusive electrical supplier,” stated Lyle St. Romain, general manager of Charles Marine & Industrial Group. “The ABA is truly one of the most profitable and effective marine trade associations I’ve ever done business with.”
The Charles Marine & Industrial Group is a provider of AC and DC electrical products, including battery chargers, inverters, isolation and boosting transformers, ship-to-shore cable products, onboard communications systems (including digital cellular solutions) and industrial transformers.
