New yacht services business opens
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The former owner and President of The Allied Marine Group, Dwight Tracy, has launched a new company that he says will offer a “well-defined range of services for the yacht owner and prospective owner.”
Dwight Tracy & Friends (DT&F) will offer services including representing the purchaser and/or seller of a yacht, overseeing new construction management, repair and service direction, assisting crew hiring and training, financing and charter in addition to purchasing new and pre-owned yachts on a speculative basis for re-sale.
“I feel uniquely positioned to offer our clients my first-hand knowledge and experience dealing with all aspects of the marine industry,” said DT&F President and CEO Dwight Tracy, who added that, during his tenure with The Allied Marine Group, it was the world’s largest privately held yacht sales and service company. “DT&F offers our combined knowledge to build an integrity-based platform that recognizes the needs of our clients, our friends and institute systems that they can rely on to fulfill those needs.”
Gregory J. Stepic, a C.P.A with “vast insights into the marine and real estate industry,” will join DT&F as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Michael Tyrrell, “one of the world’s leading brokers,” will lead the Sales Team of DT&F along with other corporate responsibilities. Greg Cunningham, an 18-year veteran of worldwide marine operations for the DeVos family fleet of yachts, will also join the company.
