Sea Tow forecasts much stronger boating season
SOUTHOLD, N.Y. – After tallying the results of a series of exceptionally strong pre-season boat show reports from its franchise network, Sea Tow Services International, Inc., is forecasting a much stronger boating season for 2004 than in recent years, a company statement reported today.
The network reports also show strong consumer interest in bottom line service comparisons and boating safety, Sea Tow said.
“Having read the reports from many of our franchisees nationwide – and also hearing first hand from consumers, I can say with confidence that the boating industry is, in fact, on an upswing,” said Captain Joe Frohnhoefer, Sea Tow founder and CEO.
The activity reports were aggregated from franchise areas including, but not limited to, Atlantic City, N.J., Boston, Mass., Long Island, N.Y., Miami, Fla., New Orleans, La., Portland, Ore., Raleigh, N.C., Rhode Island and San Diego, Calif.
The reports showed strong activity in new and renewed memberships. Consumers cited strong interest rates, improvements in the insurance industry, and a slightly stronger economy were the most common reasons for the activity, Sea Tow said.
