Get your voice heard at GOP, Democratic conventions

This summer will give the boating industry another opportunity to have its voice heard by elected officials of both parties, with the quadrennial political conventions coming up next month.

In case you missed the news when we reported it on Tuesday, NMMA and others in the industry will be hosting a “Day on the Water” at both political conventions and they’re looking for your help. Stakeholders in the industry are being invited to share their concerns and issues at this year’s conventions: the Republican National Convention Day(s) on the Water is July 20 and 21 from noon to 3 p.m., while Democratic National Convention day is 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 26.

Plenty of leading companies are supporting the efforts, but every voice is important and helps to get the message out about the industry’s key issues from ethanol to access to environmental issues.
