Brunswick sells Sealine to Oxford Investment Group
LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Brunswick Corporation, owner of Mercury and Mariner outboard engines, announced the sale of their Sealine brand of boats to The Oxford Investment Group. The companies have not disclosed the terms of the transaction.
Sealine was established in 1972 and acquired by Brunswick Corporation in 2001. The company designs and builds 35-60 foot boats ranging from sport boats to luxury motor yachts.
“This decision was part of our strategic review to further refine our product portfolio and to best concentrate our resources on our continuing brands and the marine segments in which we compete,” said Brunswick Chairman and CEO Dustan E. McCoy, in a press release by Brunswick.
Brunswick Corporation headquartered in Lake Forest, Ill. produces the Sea Ray, Bayliner, Meridian, Hatteras, and Boston Whaler brands. Brunswick also owns companies in the bowling, billiards, and fitness markets.
