CRESCENT CITY, Calif. — The tsunami-sunken fishing vessel Ge Ge came to the surface on Saturday, where it had been since March 11.
The boat, which was in the Crescent City, Calif., harbor is considered the final sunken boat in the Japanese tsunami aftermath. The Coast Guard has been working to raise more than a dozen sunken boats in the area, which was hit hard by the wave.
The Ge Ge was determined unsalvageable.
According to an Associated Press article, Coast Guard divers will now survey the sea floor to determine if any debris or pollution is left.
