KENNESAW, Ga. — Yamaha Marine Group announced its strategy for the 2011 Miami International Boat Show, both in the Yamaha booth and on the water. Yamaha will have on-water demos of its V6 offshore outboards, as well as celebrity guests in the booth.
“We hope it will be a memorable show for all,” said Dale Barnes, Yamaha Marine Group Division Manager, Marketing. “The special activities featured this year in the Yamaha booth are likely to re-ignite a passion for boating in everyone from professional anglers, to casual weekend boaters.” Celebrity guests include National Geographic Shark Men host Chris Fischer and fishing guides from The Chevy Florida Insider Fishing Report. Part of an Inside Fishing Report will be taped at the Yamaha booth.
Yamaha’s new outboard lineup includes the VMAX SHO, the V6 Offshore series and the F70. At the show, Yamaha will launch its V6 Offshore Demo tour, a national program consisting of high-performance demo rides designed to highlight Yamaha’s line of 4.2-liter V6 offshore outboards.
The 2011 Yamaha Discover V6 Offshore Demo tour starts on Feb. 17, 2011, at the Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center. Offshore fishing fans in the area are invited to attend for a first-come, first-served opportunity to ride in the spotlighted boats. The demos begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:30 p.m. each day of the show.
Yamaha will have two special promotions at the show.
The first 100 participants each day will receive a voucher good for a one-year Yamaha Extended Service contract (Y.E.S.) with an MSRP value of up to $1,500. The voucher can be redeemed only after the customer has purchased a new 4.2-liter V6 Offshore outboard. Additional terms and conditions apply.
The other promotion applies to eligible, new Yamaha 2.5 to 350 hp four-stroke outboards and provides the purchasing consumer a choice of either a 2-year Y.E.S. contract or a credit, on select eligible models, of up to $2,000 based on MSRP towards the purchase of goods and/or services available at the authorized participating Yamaha Outboard dealer that sold the outboard at no extra cost to the purchasing consumer. The “Four Stroke Revolution” sales promotion is effective for select eligible outboards purchased and warranty registered between Dec. 1, 2010, and March 31, 2011.
