Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
SAN ANSELMO, Calif. — Summer Sailstice, an annual celebration of sailing held on the summer solstice, takes place this weekend and companies including West Marine, Hunter Marine, Murray Yacht Sales and Beneteau are promoting the event to customers, according to a release from Summer Sailstice organizer John Arndt.
The free event, which started in 2001 as a way to promote sailing, awards 200 prizes to boaters who sign up to participate. The event’s site also allows boaters to post their summer solstice sailing plans and share them with friends.
