ABBRA’s 2003 Wage Rate Survey now available

WARREN, R.I. – The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association says its 2003 Wage Rate Survey, comparing labor rates across a range of boatyard and repairer related job areas, sorted by geographical regions, is now available, according to a press release yesterday.

The survey allows members to compare the salaries of their employees to others in the same region, and across the nation, for a variety of job types. It contains information about hourly wages, average vacation time, benefits, and pension plans across a range of job categories including general manager, technicians, store manager, riggers, dockhands and bookkeepers, ABBRA said.

“This year’s survey is our best ever,” said Bill Munger, ABBRA president. “Participation exceeded all previous years, and with the addition of several categories, and improved definitions for most positions, the survey is a must have when reviewing employee rates and salaries, regionally and nationwide”

The report is available at no cost to all ABBRA members who provided data for the survey. It costs $65 for those members who did not contribute data and is $99 for nonmembers, ABBRA said.

A copy of the wage rate survey can be obtained by sending an e-mail to info@abbra.org.
