RBFF offering webinar on reaching Hispanic community
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation will host a webinar at 2 p.m. Eastern Monday on “Reaching the Hispanic Community.”
Changing demographics throughout the country have provided a great opportunity for the fishing and boating industry to engage with Hispanics. Targeting the Hispanic community needs to be an organization-wide commitment and implemented at the local level.
RBFF’s Hispanic marketing agency, Lopez Negrete Communications, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Freedom Boat Club will share insights on how to successfully reach and engage the Hispanic audience.
Planned topics include:
- Ed CantĂș and Gerry Loredo, Lopez Negrete Communications, share why Hispanics matter to the future of fishing and boating and how to overcome barriers and engage the Hispanic audience.
- Director Alvin Taylor and Hispanic outreach coordinator Alix Pedraza, SCDNR, discuss why reaching the Hispanic community is a high priority for their agency, how they are focusing on this audience and tips from what they’ve learned.
- Wanda Kenton Smith and Maurice Amaya, Freedom Boat Club, talk about why they developed a Hispanic marketing strategy and what they’ve done and learned in their initial efforts to get more Hispanics at the helm.
