ATLANTA, Ga. – Wholesale marine supplier Kellogg Marine Supply has selected Stibo Catalog, Inc.’s enterprise publishing and product information management solution as part of an enterprise-wide strategic software investment, the catalog publishing firm reported in a statement yesterday.
Kellogg Marine Supply will install Stibo Catalog’s STEP Solution to improve workflow of promotional materials, advertising collaterals as well as its core catalogs, which are produced in multiple versions and distributed to thousands of customers annually, according to Stibo.
“After a thorough review of the leading vendors in the industry, we selected Stibo Catalog’s STEP Solution to automate catalog and ad production, streamline workflow, eliminate redundancies and improve time-to-market with our new products,” said Bob Staehle, vice president and general manager, Kellogg Marine Supply. “Kellogg Marine Supply chose Stibo Catalog’s software because it offers a flexible solution for managing our product information and a friendly interface that allows us to repurpose that information to our printed materials, catalogs and Web site.”
The Stibo Catalog STEP Solution is comprised of two core components: STEP Product Information Manager, workflow automation, digital asset management and product information management software with the capability to capture, manage, and distribute product information and product related assets; and STEP Publication Manager, a publishing engine that allows product information to be grouped into meaningful combinations for advertising and other purposes, and then styled and formatted to facilitate the publishing of content to print, web and CD-ROM from a single source.
Stibo Catalog’s STEP Solution will enable Kellogg Marine Supply to integrate its advertised promotions with other business systems automatically, allowing the marketer to retrieve commercial product information such as SKU numbers, pricing, and product and promotion-based historical financial performance data with increased efficiency. When combined with enriched data from STEP, the product information is ready for use throughout the various advertising channels available, according to Stibo.
