TowBoatUS Alpine Now Assisting Recreational Boaters on Hudson River
TowBoatUS Alpine is now open and serving recreational boaters navigating the Hudson River. Owned and operated by Capt. Troy Dube, TowBoatUS Alpine delivers around-the-clock on-water assistance for boaters including on-water towing, fuel delivery, battery jumps and soft ungroundings.
With more than 30 years of boating experience across the Hudson River, New York Harbor and Long Island Sound, Captain Dube brings deep local knowledge and a lifelong passion for the water to his new role supporting the boating community, according to the company.
TowBoatUS Alpine can now serve a critical stretch of the Hudson River—from the Statue of Liberty to the Mario Cuomo Bridge and the East River that has historically lacked dedicated on-water towing and assistance services, according to the company. This new operation fills a longstanding gap, providing boaters with a reliable and responsive safety net.
“As a lifelong boater, I care deeply about this community and ensuring fellow boaters have access to reliable on-water assistance,” said Dube in a news release.
The port operates a SAFE Boats Defender 25 response vessel, according to the company, crewed by a team of three Coast Guard-licensed captains. Separate from its on-water assistance services, TowBoatUS Alpine offers select dockside support including routine maintenance, battery replacements, oil changes and minor repairs.
Much like an auto club for recreational boat owners, Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) offers on-water towing memberships for $215/year for saltwater, according to the company.
