Baja Marine hires new PR firm

WASHINGTON, N.C.— Baja Marine, the 40-year-old builder of family high-performance boats, will now work with Bob Black & Company Inc. and Turnkey Communications and Public Relations Inc. to help reintroduce the brand.

The Baja brand will re-launch with its 2012 model line, which is currently in production in Washington, N.C. Baja Marine’s new public relations counsel will work under the direction of Craig Barrie, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Turnkey Communications and Public Relations Inc. was founded in 2005 by boating industry veteran Louisa Rudeen Beckett, specializes in providing “turnkey” communications solutions to the marine and private aviation industries.

Bob Black entered the marine business in 1964 with the old-line New York public relations agency of Harry Bruno & Associates and later served as that company’s executive vice president. He formed Bob Black & Company in 1974 and has served well over 100 clients in the field, and written for magazines and newspapers, as well.
