LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Brunswick Corp. said Thursday it is taking steps to promote growth throughout its marine dealer network by launching one complete dealer certification program, which includes a menu of best business practices and insights into operational excellence and long-term growth and profitability strategies, according to the company.
Until now, Brunswick dealer certification has been offered primarily by select boat brands. This new program takes best practices from the boat group certification programs and combines them with the latest requirements from the industry certification organization Marine Five Star Dealer Certification (MFSDC).
“Sharing our best dealer practices across our entire marine dealer network offers significant opportunity for growth,” Brunswick CEO Dustan E. McCoy said in a release. “Our certified dealers consistently outperform the market in sales, customer satisfaction and profitability. By adopting the most successful business strategies through our new certification program, our dealers will be able to offer a superior customer experience and bring overall dealership performance to a new level.”
The new program offers three levels of achievement: Brunswick Five Star Dealer, Brunswick Master Dealer and Brunswick Ambassador Dealer, which is reserved for Brunswick-exclusive boat brand dealers with Brunswick Master Dealer Certification.
“Brunswick Certification is a perfect complement to Brunswick Dealer Advantage” Scott Ward, director of Brunswick Dealer Advantage, said in the release. “Both programs have the same goal in mind – dealership growth and profitability. Dealers who are already certified will attest to the fact that the investment in time and effort to become certified is recovered quickly through proven process improvements which produce greater profitability. Certification is good for the customer, good for the dealer, and ultimately good for the industry.”
