West Marine and SCMA partner in seminar series
CHARLESTON, S.C. – West Marine stores, in association with the South Carolina Marine Association (SCMA), will hold SC Marine Trade Seminars on Aug. 22 at all ten West Marine retail stores in the state, the association reported in a recent statement.
Each store will bring in local marine experts to speak to the boating public on best practices and preventive maintenance, SCMA explained. The day-long seminar series will cover topics such as electronics, electrical systems, engines, fiberglass, general maintenance and trailering. Several locations will also have booths from area marine businesses plus the US Power Squadron and Coast Guard Auxiliary will be on deck to answers questions about boating safety.
West Marine stores are located in Anderson, Charleston (2 locations), Cherry Grove, Columbia, Hilton Head Island, Mt. Pleasant, Murrells Inlet, North Charleston, and Port Royal.
