Teufelberger acquires New England Ropes
WELS, Austria – Austrian cordage manufacturer Teufelberger has acquired the assets of New England Ropes Inc., based in Fall River, Mass., with closing to take place June 30, Teufelberger reported in a release this week.
Teufelberger, which produces cordage under the FSE Robline brand, has three strategic business units with more than 600 dedicated men and women who create fiber ropes in three factories for customers all over the world.
New England Ropes Inc., incorporated in 1967, has 150 associates and produces performance ropes from high-tech synthetic fibers.
“In joining the strength of both companies on both sides of the Atlantic, the group will provide superior performance in product and service,” Teufelberger wrote in its release. “We attach great importance to continuity with the experienced sales and marketing team worldwide. Sailing is a wonderful sport and we are proud to be a strong part of it.”
