Century and Cobia Boats offer boat owners DVDs

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Century and Cobia Boats have created new boat owner DVDs that provide a visual guide to ownership, operation and maintenance, the companies said in a release Friday.

The DVDs complement the information in the owner’s manual that accompanies each boat and are designed to answer many of the questions that boat owners might have. The content is presented in chronological order from the time the owner takes delivery to prepping and launching the boat, to following the rules of road while on the water. The DVDs also cover maintenance after docking or pulling the boat from the water, according to the companies.

“We realize that most people are conditioned to visual learning,” said Jeff Hudson, customer service manager for Century and Cobia Boats. “The DVDs cover the basics of boat ownership. There are visual demonstrations on how to operate the boat systems, where to find hull numbers, electrical connections, etc.”

Each DVD has four different sections that owners can review when they take delivery of their new boats, or they can use them to refresh their knowledge each year prior to the start of the boat season, said the companies. The DVDs include detailed information specific to each model, but also cover boat construction, information on the Yamaha power that each boat features (four-stroke, EFI and HPDI models), basic boat operation and safety.
