Tracker and Lund stay on top of boats.com new powerboat list
LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Tracker and Lund retained first and second places respectively on the new power-boat list, and no changes were reported to the top-six spots in the pre-owned category as Sea Ray remained No. 1, according to the boats.com manufacturers’ rankings for April, which the company released today.
The boats.com rankings are based on the most popular consumer searches by brands, new and pre-owned, at the Web site’s online marketplace. The boats.com top-20 list is published monthly and reflects traffic data on all manufacturers and models available on boats.com Inc.’s Net Access Program.
“There is good news for power boat builders in the April numbers” said Paul Rabe, president, CEO and co-founder of boats.com Inc. “Compared with March, there was a 16-percent increase in the number of page views delivered to people searching for new boats while the page views delivered to those searching for sailboats remained practically the same.”
Glastron moved into the third spot on the new power-boat list, while Lowe dropped one place (fourth), with Nitro moving to fifth and Malibu moving up 4 places into sixth. The three new entries into the top-20 in April were Regal (17th), Bayliner (18th) and Caravelle in 20th.
In the pre-owned classification, the top six places remained – in order – Sea Ray, Bayliner, Wellcraft, Carver, Chris-Craft and Boston Whaler, while Regal moved up two places into seventh.
Beneteau remains No. 1 on sailboat top-20
On the boats.com sailing top-20 list, new, Beneteau remained first, Hunter moved up into second and Hinckley dropped to third. Bavaria re-entered the top-20 in eighth place while RS re-entered in 15th and Tartan (18th) and Tayana (19th) also returned.
