EDGEWATER, Md. and ORLANDO, Fla. – The American Boat & Yacht Council and the Association of Marine Technicians will be coordinating select educational courses over the next several months, ABYC said in a release today.
The ABYC “Basic Marine Engines” course is scheduled for Dec. 6 – 8 in Seattle, and is followed by the “Gasoline Engine & Support Systems Certification” course on Dec. 9 - 10 and AMTECH’s “Management Training for Marine Businesses” on Dec. 11 – 12, at the same location.
The “Basic Marine Engines” course is a three-day seminar designed for the less experienced engine technician, marine surveyor and anyone interested in the basics of trouble-shooting, maintaining and installing marine engines. The two-day “Gasoline Engine & Support Systems Certification” course is designed for experienced marine gasoline engine technicians or those who have attended the "Basic Marine Engines" course.
The two-day “Management Training for Marine Businesses” workshop, which immediately follows ABYC’s programs, is geared towards all marine managers and anyone that deals directly with the consumer or operates a marine business.
